General instructions and warnings​

  • This method requires learning a sequence of functional movement exercises and about 10 minutes of home-practice every day in front of a video clip.

  • Learn and follow the detailed exercise instructions and method principles in the Master Manual.

  • All the exercises should be pain free and comfortable to perform. Skip any exercise that causes pain or discomfort.

  • Contact us for online teaching or assistance.

  • If necessary, seek professional advise to use as part of a rehabilitation program.

No equipment required 

  • If you do not have a StarBarre device, practice the exercises in front of a kitchen counter, windowsill or balcony rail with no compromise to quality, enjoyment and benefits.​

1. Choose your journey color.

The yellow (holistic) journey

  • For people who have no special movement injuries or disorders.

  • For people who suffer from body-spanning disorders like multiple orthopedic injuries, scoliosis, osteoporosis, Parkinson's disease, general weakness.

The Green (upper body) Journey

  • For people who suffer from disorders in the upper body:  thoracic spine, cervical spine, scapulae, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and hands.

The blue (lower body) journey

  • For people who suffer from disorders in the lower body: lumbar spine, pelvis, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.

If you are not sure which is the most appropriate journey color for you, choose the yellow (holistic) journey.

2. Play the short 1 Star video clip of the chosen journey color.

Yellow (holistic) Journey

1 Star sequence 7:59 minutes

Green (upper body) Journey

1 Star Sequence 9:14 minutes

Blue (lower body) Journey

1 Star sequence 9:58 minutes

3. Start exercising.

  • 'Copy' the instructor's moves, timing and pace.

  • Follow the onscreen breathing instructions.

Continue with the system

  • learn and practice all the 1 star sequence exercises daily (for about 10 minutes).

  • Temporarily skip any painful or uncomfortable exercise.

  • With daily practice, the challenging exercises eventually become more comfortable and easier.

  • Then, progress to the 2 Stars level of your journey.

  • Continue the daily practice in the new level.

  • Progress the star levels one by one, until the 6 Stars video clip can be followed harmoniously.

  • Then, Perform the 6 Star sequence daily (for about 7 minutes).
